Tennessee football is looking to add another versatile offensive lineman through the transfer portal. On Thursday, the Vols will host Ole Miss transfer interior offensive lineman Ethan Fields on a visit, his agent Jacob Piasecki confirmed to RTI.
Fields just rounded out his redshirt-sophomore season and will have two years of eligibility remaining. He has played his entire career with the Rebels up to this point.
Fields appeared in five games for Ole Miss during the 2025 season, all off the bench. In a total of 63 snaps, he earned a PFF grade of 58.5 on the year. This came at both guard positions.
In 2024, Fields played in four games, including the bowl game against Duke. In a total of 23 snaps, he earned a grade of 67.2 on the year. He did not appear in any games in 2023, earning a redshirt.

Fields was a three-star recruit out of high school on all major recruiting services. He was considered the No. 55 offensive lineman in the 2023 class by 247.
Tennessee already holds one offensive line commitment through the transfer portal. Out of LSU, Ory Williams joins the Vols after his redshirt-freshman campaign. He is an option to start at right tackle next year, with David Sanders Jr. expected to move back to left tackle after Lance Heard’s decision to transfer to Kentucky.
UT also holds multiple pieces with in-game experience on the interior. This includes Wendell Moe Jr., Sam Pendleton, Jesse Perry and Sham Umarov. Moe is expected to start at one of the guard spots, while Pendleton should reprise his role at center. The other guard spot could go to a transfer, like Fields, or Perry or Umarov. Perry also has the chance to play right tackle.
