Tennessee Basketball went into Coleman Coliseum on Saturday night with a winless road record but came out of it with one of its biggest wins of the season. Nate Ament’s career-high 29 points and Ja’Kobi Gillespie’s 24 points helped propel the Vols to a 79-73 win over No. 17 Alabama in Tuscaloosa.
From the Tennessee perspective, the Vols showed grit and toughness in the win. Tennessee was previously 0-3 on the road but stepped up to the challenge. From the national perspective, though, people are talking about Charles Bediako.
The Alabama big man made his re-debut for the Crimson Tide on Saturday night after a court ruling granted him the ability to return to college basketball. He had previously been playing for the Delaware Blue Coats NBA G-League team.
Tennessee rightfully had some fun with the situation after the game, setting off a wave of trolling from the college basketball world on social media.
“Blue Coats, you’re next,” Tennessee wrote in its postgame tweet, which has more than 2.3 million views in less than 12 hours.
Minutes after being posted, the Delaware Blue Coats G-League account played along with it.

Even the Duke Blue Devils got a good laugh out of it, with the official team account commenting “lol” to the post.
The tweet had responses from Barstool Sports’ Brandon Walker, saying, “Oh this is some good tweeting.” The gambling company Prize Picks responded with the eyes emoji, and both Kentucky and Auburn fan accounts tipped their cap to the elite level of trolling.
The post also had quote tweets from Peter Burns, Dan Wetzel, Andy Staples, Pete Thamel, Clay Travis, Jeff Borzello, Chris Low, and many more.
