Lady Vols basketball has now had two players selected in the 2026 WNBA Draft. On Monday, the Dallas Wings selected senior forward Zee Spearman with the first pick of the third round. This made Spearman the 31st selection of the night.
Spearman joins Janiah Barker as players from Tennessee’s 2025-26 team to be selected in the draft. They are the first two players of the Kim Caldwell Era to be drafted, as well. Barker is headed to the Las Vegas Aces after being picked in the second round.
Spearman averaged 10.2 points as a senior on 38.4% shooting from the field and 23.3% on threes. She also produced 5.8 rebounds, 1.0 assists and 1.3 blocks per game on the year.

This was Spearman’s second season at Tennessee after transferring in from Miami. She joined Caldwell’s first team in Knoxville, helping the squad reach the Sweet 16. That season, she averaged 11.7 points on 51.5% shooting from the field and 30% on threes. She also added 6.0 rebounds, 0.8 assists, 0.7 steals and 0.7 blocks per outing.
This past season, Tennessee finished 16-14 (8-8 SEC), though. The Lady Vols were the 6-seed in the SEC Tournament, but lost to Alabama in the second round. They earned a 10-seed in the NCAA Tournament, but lost to NC State in the Round of 64 in Ann Arbor, Michigan.
This featured an eight-game losing streak and defeats in 11 of their last 13 games to round out the year. As a result, all eight potential returners entered the transfer portal. So far, five have committed to their new schools.
On the other hand, Tennessee has landed four commitments itself. This incoming group to Tennessee features Liberty’s Avery Mills, Northern Arizona’s Naomi White, Stanford’s Harper Peterson and Georgia’s Zhen Craft. UT also brings in four-star recruit Gabby Minus.
