Tennessee football is one of the seven schools in the mix to land one of the top safeties in the 2027 class. Four-star Kenaz Sullivan has named the Vols, Indiana, Ohio State, Florida, Maryland, South Carolina and Virginia Tech as his top list, according to 247.
Sullivan has also set up his list of official visits. He’ll head to Indiana on April 24, South Carolina on May 1, Virginia Tech on May 29, Tennessee on June 5 and Ohio State on June 12. Florida and Maryland do not have visits set up at this moment, according to 247.
Sullivan ranks as the No. 234 recruit in the country via 247. The four-star is the No. 22 safety in the class and No. 4 player out of Virginia. He is from Springfield, Virginia, where he plays for The St. James.

More From RTI: Tennessee Football Lands in the Top Five For In-State Offensive Lineman
Sullivan is being primarily recruited by Tennessee’s new co-defensive coordinator and secondary coach, Anthony Poindexter. He picked up his UT offer back in February of 2025, though, under the old defensive staff.
Currently, Tennessee holds six commitments in the 2027 class. This features a trio of highly-touted four-stars. Headlining is in-state wide receiver, Kesean Bowman. He is a top-50 prospect and one of the top pass catchers in the class. In-state offensive tackle Princeton Uwaifo and defensive lineman Kadin Fife are also highly ranked.
Three-stars in the class are quarterback Derrick Baker, athlete Jaden Butler and in-state legacy linebacker JP Peace. Currently, this group is ranked inside the top-15 on both 247 and Rivals for the young 2027 cycle. More commitments are expected to roll in, as well.
