Lady Vols basketball is currently hosting a transfer portal guard on a visit. Out of Seton Hall, Jada Eads revealed she is on campus for a visit on her Instagram story.
The 5-foot-7 guard just completed her sophomore season and will have two years of eligibility remaining at her next stop. This past season, Eads appeared in 16 games and started in each. However, an ACL injury shut her down for the remainder of the season.
Prior to her injury, Eads was averaging 10.6 points per game on 35.8% shooting from the field and 29.4% on threes. She also contributed 5.1 rebounds, 4.1 assists and 2.0 steals per game in 26.6 minutes per outing.
As a freshman, Eads averaged 13.8 points, 4.3 rebounds, 2.3 assists and 1.8 steals per game. This came in 29 games and 24 starts in 31.3 minutes per appearance. She was named to the All-Big East First-Team and All-Freshman Team for the season.
Eads is from Orlando, Florida. She finished her high school career at Lake Highland Prep after starting at Wekiva in Apopka, Florida.
More From RTI: TRANSFER TRACKER: Where Lady Vols Basketball’s Roster Sits With 11 Players Committed
So far, Kim Caldwell has landed 11 players to join the Lady Vols’ team for next season. This includes nine transfers and two class of 2026 signees.
“We really wanted to make sure that from the jump of the portal, we were getting those floor spacers out there,” Caldwell said about the portal effort. “Your bigs and your point guards are harder to come by, and so we have been really trying to get key pieces there that fit that with what we the way we want to play. You got to be willing to play fast, you got to be willing to play hard. You got to be willing to come in and work and want to win for Tennessee. And those are conversations we’ve had openly and pretty upfront with every player we’ve brought in.”
At this point, transfer portal commits include Liberty guard Avery Mills, Northern Arizona guard Naomi White, Stanford forward Harper Peterson, Georgia forward Zhen Craft and guard Rylie Theuerkauf, Auburn guard Harissoum Coulibaly, Texas A&M forward Fatmata Janneh, Maryland guard Kaylene Skinner and Penn State guard Shaelyn Steele. The two freshmen are four-star Gabby Minus and Irene Oboavwoduo.
