The Detroit Lions signed Tennessee tight end Miles Kitselman to an undrafted free agent deal on Saturday night following the conclusion of the 2026 NFL Draft. In Detroit, Kitselman joins his Tennessee teammate Tyre West who the Lions selected in the seventh round.

Kitselman spent the final two seasons of resilient college career at Tennessee. He started both seasons in Knoxville, combining to catch 48 passes for 554 yards and six touchdowns. Kitselman also rushed for a touchdown during the 2024 season.
The Kansas native had balanced production in his two seasons in Knoxville. Kitselman totaled 253 yards and two touchdowns in 2025 and 301 yards and four touchdowns in 2024.
Kitselman was a well rounded tight end at Tennessee. He was never a great pass catcher but was a strong run blocking tight end. He was also a team leader both seasons at Tennessee.

Before his time at Tennessee, Kitselman spent his freshman season at Hutchinson Community College in his home state of Kansas. Kitselman then spent two years at Alabama where he played sparingly before transferring to Tennessee.
Five Tennessee players were selected in the 2026 NFL Draft. The New York Giants selected Colton Hood in the second round, the Carolina Panthers selected Chris Brazzell in the third round, the Las Vegas Raiders selected Jermod McCoy in the fourth round, the Washington Commanders selected Josh Josephs in the fifth round and the Lions selected West in the seventh round.
Since the draft ended, Joey Aguilar signed an undrafted free agent deal with the Jacksonville Jaguars, Jalen McMurray signed an undrafted free agent deal with the Tennessee Titans and Jaxson Moi signed an undrafted free agent deal with the Los Angeles Rams.
