
With most its roster set, Tennessee basketball is still looking to add to its roster for next season. Most notable is the Vols’ pursuit of star Wake Forest transfer Juke Harris and Tennessee appears to be trending for the star early this week.
Rivals basketball recruiting expert Jamie Shaw put in an expert prediction with 60% confidence for Tennessee to land a commitment from Harris. This comes just a day after college sports insider Chris Low said on the RTI Low Down that he anticipates Harris committing to Tennessee sometime this week.
Tennessee is battling both Michigan and North Carolina for Harris’ services. However, Michigan appears to be the biggest threat to Tennessee at this point in time.
Harris is currently going through the NBA Draft process which has delayed a potential decision. He visited Michigan the first week that portal was open and then hosted both North Carolina and Tennessee shortly after for an in-home visit.

The 6-foot-7 guard has until May 23 to remove his name from the NBA Draft if he opts to return to college for his sophomore season. Harris, of course, can announce his transfer destination before formally removing his name from the NBA Draft.
The Vols finished runner-up for Harris out of high school when the 6-foot-7 guard committed to Wake Forest. But Tennessee head coach Rick Barnes has built a strong relationship with Harris and his mother.
Harris is coming off a sophomore season where he averaged 21.4 points on 44.4% shooting from the field and 33.3% shooting from three-point range at Wake Forest. The Salisbury, North Carolina native made 87 three-pointers during the 2025-26 season.
A Second Team All-SEC selection a season ago, Harris scored 20-plus points in 20 games last season and scored 30-plus points against NC State, Boston College and Cal. Harris also added 6.5 rebounds, 1.9 assists and 1.3 steals per game. He ranked in the top 400 nationally with a 17.6% defensive rebound rate and a 10% turnover rate.
Tennessee basketball has landed six transfers to date including VCU combo guard Terrence Hill Jr, Cal combo guard Dai Dai Ames, Belmont sharpshooter Tyler Lundblade, Notre Dame wing Jalen Haralson, Kennesaw State forward Braedan Lue and Loyola (Chicago) center Miles Rubin.
