Tennessee football is in the mix to land one of the top wide receiver recruits in the 2027 class. Four-star prospect Deshawn Hall listed the Vols among seven schools.
According to a report from Rivals, Hall has whittled his list down to UT, Penn State, Michigan, Alabama, Auburn, Clemson and Ohio State.
Hall is from Prattville, Alabama, where he stars for Prattville High School. He is considered the No. 10 class of 2027 recruit in the state by 247 and the top receiver. Overall, he ranks as the No. 175 receiver in the nation and No. 24 receiver in the country, as well.
He’s a multi-sport athlete, too, starring on the hardwood in basketball on top of his football prowess.

Hall’s primary recruiter is Vols wide receivers coach and passing game coordinator Kelsey Pope. He has an official visit scheduled to see Tennessee on June 19, the final of a string to see his top schools.
Currently, Tennessee holds seven commitments in the 2027 class. This features a trio of highly-touted four-stars. Headlining is in-state wide receiver, Kesean Bowman. He is a top-50 prospect and one of the top pass catchers in the class. In-state offensive tackle Princeton Uwaifo and defensive lineman Kadin Fife are also highly ranked.
Three-stars in the class are quarterback Derrick Baker, athlete Jaden Butler, in-state legacy linebacker JP Peace and defensive back Carter Jamison. Currently, this group is ranked inside the top-25 on both 247 and Rivals for the young 2027 cycle. More commitments are expected to roll in, as well.
