The springtime brings postseason tournaments all around the college sports world. Tennessee Softball is currently competing in the NCAA Tournament this weekend, while the Tennessee Baseball team begins SEC Tournament play this Tuesday afternoon against South Carolina in Hoover.
But there’s another imminent postseason tournament that Tennessee fans might not be as familiar with, which is right around the corner.
The Tennessee men’s golf team will begin its NCAA Tournament run during a three-day stretch in Texas on Monday. The Vols are the 3-seed in the Bryan Regional, which will be hosted by Texas A&M at Traditions Club in Bryan, TX. Tennessee will be competing against 13 other teams during the week.
During the tournament, Tennessee will fight to be one of the top five teams in the group. The top five teams for each regional after 54 holes will move on to the national championships, which is set to take place in Carlsbad, CA, from May 29 to June 3.
Other notable teams in the Bryan Regional include 1-seed Texas, 2-seed North Carolina, 4-seed New Mexico, and 5-seed Texas A&M.
Tennessee’s lineup will consist of fifth-year senior Lance Simpson, sophomore Jackson Herrington, freshman Chase Keys, senior Josh Hill, redshirt-sophomore Bruce Murphy, and sophomore substitute Christian Pardue.

The Vols’ men’s golf team has been on a roll these last few years. Tennessee has made the national championships in 2024 and 2025 and are now seeking the 21st all-time appearance in program history. It’s a major measuring stick moment for the team, but one that Tennessee is well-positioned for.
According to UT Sports, the Vols’ 3-seed selection is their highest placement since landing a 1-seed during the 2024 tournament. Tennessee was previously a 5-seed last year. It is the eighth consecutive NCAA Regional appearance for the Volunteers, extending Tennessee’s streak of making the NCAA Tournament in every season under head coach Brennan Webb. This does not include the 2020 tournament, which was cancelled due to COVID.
The most well-known name on Tennessee’s roster is sophomore Jackson Herrington, a native of Dickson, TN. Herrington participated in the 2026 Masters Tournament and tied for the 36-hole low amateur score (+8) at Augusta National Golf Club last month.
According to UT Sports, “Live scoring for the Bryan Regional will be available through Scoreboard. For the first time ever, a live stream of all three rounds of the tournament will be available for purchase from Babygrande Golf.”
