Tennessee football’s Neyland Stadium is among the biggest in the country. Its capacity of 101,915, following recent renovations, sits at the sixth-highest mark in the country. The biggest stadium is appropriately nicknamed ‘The Big House’, being Michigan’s Michigan Stadium at 107,601.

However, an extra six thousand fans doesn’t necessarily mean a rowdier or louder environment. Just ask former Wolverines star offensive lineman Taylor Lewan. He recently went on record to say that Tennessee’s Neyland Stadium is the loudest in college football.

Lewan never played in a game against the Vols, but has been on campus as a spectator. As a key piece of Tennessee Titans teams just down the road, he’s set roots in the Volunteer State and has made the trip to see UT in action.

At Michigan, Lewan was a two-time First-Team All-Big 10 member, one-time Second-Team All-Big 10 selection, two-time First-Team All-American and two-time Big 10 Offensive Lineman of the Year. From 2009-13, he started his career on a 5-7 then 7-6 team under Rich Rodriguez. Then, he played for Brady Hoke on teams that went 11-2, 8-5 and 7-6.

Lewan went on to be selected 11th overall by the Titans in the 2014 NFL Draft. He quickly became a star, earning three-straight Pro Bowl nods from 2016-18 while protecting Marcus Mariota. His career ultimately came to a close in 2022 as he entered retirement.

Now, Lewan is a media personality. He hosts the “Bussin’ With The Boys” podcast alongside Will Compton, a former Titans teammate and Nebraska linebacker. Based out of Tennessee, the pair often touch on both SEC squads in the state, Vanderbilt and the Vols. This featured interviews with former Commodores quarterback Diego Pavia, who said Vanderbilt ran the state before the season.
