The adidas era at Tennessee officially got underway again last week with the calendar turning from June to July. Tennessee began its uniform reveals on Monday, releasing the orange uniforms for all sports.

Vol baseball has worn its orange uniforms both at home and on the road in recent seasons, typically wearing them in game two of weekend series. Tennessee wears them with white pants at home and with light grey pants on the road.

Here’s the first look at what Tennessee’s orange baseball uniforms look like with the three stripes instead of the Nike swoosh.

The uniforms are very similar to what Tennessee wore before, using the cursive Vols script on the front of the jerseys and the power T on the helmet. They made just two small changes to the uniforms, adding a Power T on the right sleeve and a thin orange stripe on the pants.

Baseball marked Tennessee’s most recent national championship in 2024 but has entered a new era under Josh Elander after Tony Vitello left to manage the San Francisco Giants last October. It was a somewhat disappointing debut season with Tennessee posting a 38-22 (15-15 SEC) record before losing in the Chapel Hill Regional.

Elander and his staff have followed up a disappointing season with a strong offseason, retaining top talent from last season’s team while putting together one of the nation’s best transfer portal classes.

Next, Tennessee will reveal white uniforms on Tuesday. For baseball, those will be the standard home jerseys. There also could be multiple white uniforms including a pinstripe option. On Wednesday, the Summitt Blue uniforms will be revealed, which Tennessee baseball has not worn before. Thursday will be Dark Mode uniforms, which has been a Vol baseball staple including for the 2024 National Championship victory.

“We are excited to officially begin our transformative partnership with adidas, which has already displayed an extraordinary level of commitment to ensure we have everything we need to continue to compete for championships here on Rocky Top,” Elander said in a statement last week. “We believe that the power of the Tennessee and adidas brands working together will continue to elevate our program on a national and global scale in the ever-changing landscape of college sports.”

Stay tuned with Rocky Top Insider throughout the week for the first looks at Tennessee’s new adidas uniforms across your favorite sports.
