Tennessee football has reeled in another blue-chip offensive line recruit to add to its 2027 class. On Friday, four-star international offensive lineman Niko Kampas announced his commitment to the Vols.

Kampas picked UT over Auburn, Michigan and Vanderbilt. He took official visits to all four schools over the summer, but ultimately decided that Tennessee would be the best fit for him at the next level. His official visit to Knoxville was on June 19, just after checking out the Commodores.

Kampas is from Germany and originally of Greek descent. However, since 2024, he’s been in London, England, with the NFL Academy.

On 247, Kampas ranks as a four-star recruit and the No. 226 player in the 2027 class. He is the No. 27 offensive tackle in the cycle and the No. 1 player from England. He stands at a staggering 6-foot-7.5 and weighs 294 pounds.

“European tackle with an elite frame that flashes the required athleticism to cover the corner at the Power Four level with his bend and agility,” 247 director of scouting Andrew Ivins wrote. “Originally from Germany and grew up playing volleyball before finding the game of football. Very green from a technical standpoint, but is in the ideal environment to foster development at the NFL Academy, which practices year-round. Likes to find a sturdy base in pass sets and is quick to react as he can mirror and reset.”

This now marks 17 commitments in the 2027 class for the Vols. The class ranks No. 45 in the country heading into his commitment and No. 14 in the SEC, but could see a bit of a jump by adding a four-star prospect.

Other offensive linemen committed this cycle include four-star Princeton Uwaifo and four-star Q’Mari Hudson.
