Tennessee football is a day away from kicking off its first ever College Football Playoff game as they travel to Columbus to face Ohio State. The loser’s season comes to an end and the winner heads to Pasadena to face Oregon in the Rose Bowl.

With kickoff just over 33 hours away, the Vols are seven-point underdogs against Ohio State according to the DraftKings Sportsbook. The over/under is set at 46.5.

Despite the opening spread coming out just under two weeks ago, there’s been no changes the betting lines since the playoff matchup was released. Ohio State opened up as seven-point favorites and the over/under opened up at 46.5 according to DraftKings.

Tennessee is 7-5 against the spread so far this season including a 4-5 record against power four opponents. The Vols covered in theirs wins over NC State, Oklahoma, Alabama and Vanderbilt but failed to cover in SEC games against Arkansas, Florida, Kentucky, Mississippi State and Georgia.

The over has hit in seven Tennessee games this season with the under has hit five times.

Ohio State is 6-6 against the spread this season including a 5-4 record against power five opponents. The Buckeyes covered in wins against Michigan State, Iowa, Penn State, Purdue and Indiana. They failed to cover in wins over Nebraska and Northwestern as well as losses against Oregon and Michigan.

The over has hit in five Ohio State games this season and the under has hit in seven games.

Tennessee is playing in its first ever College Football Playoff game. Ohio State was a regular in the four-team playoff. The Buckeyes entered the season ranked No. 2 nationally and had a disappointing regular season. The sportsbooks believe that the Buckeyes are more equipped for a deep playoff run.

But that combination also means Ohio State is under a lot of pressure to win this game. Losing consecutive games to end the season would prove disastrous for the Buckeyes. In a lot of ways, Tennessee is playing with house money on the road.

Kickoff between Tennessee and Ohio State is at 8 p.m. ET on Saturday night at Ohio State. Chris Fowler, Kirk Herbstreit and Holly Rowe are on the call for ABC and ESPN.
