A piece of the Lady Vols basketball’s out-of-conference schedule has been given an official date.
Tennessee’s matchup at Middle Tennessee State will be played on Nov. 20, 2025, at the Murphy Center in Murfreesboro, Tennessee. There is no tip-off time or TV designation announced at this point.
The road game is the third of a four-game series that the Lady Vols and MTSU scheduled. Beginning in the 2023-24 season, Kellie Harper’s UT team fell in a neutral-site clash in Huntsville, Alabama. While Tennessee was without Rickea Jackson, the 73-62 defeat was the Lady Vols’ first loss to the Blue Raiders in series history.
In 2024-25, Kim Caldwell’s first season, Tennessee hosted MTSU. The Lady Vols avenged the prior loss, winning 89-75. Tennessee was led by Talaysia Cooper’s 18 points on 8-for-16 shooting from the field. She grabbed 10 rebounds to notch a double-double.
The final game of the series will be played in Knoxville in 2026.
The all-time series now sits at 23-1 in favor of the Lady Vols. UT is 13-0 at home, 5-0 on the road and 5-1 at neutral sites.
