How Madden 26 Rates Tennessee Football’s Rookies in the NFL

With the NFL season right around the corner, EA Sports is releasing its annual Madden video game.

This will include four new additions to the roster out of Tennessee, with a quartet of Vols being drafted to the league in 2025. They will join a long list of former Tennessee standouts in the NFL as this new group looks to find its footing.

To preview the release of the game, ratings have been revealed for a select number of players, including rookies. Here’s how the Vols’ group of first-year players are rated.

James Pearce Jr. (RE) – Atlanta Falcons

Pearce, the No. 26 overall selection in the first round of the draft, is rated as a 75 overall. This is tied for the 25th-highest mark among rookies in the game.

Pearce’s strongest attribute is his speed. The Falcons’ edge rusher is given a 90 rating in that category. Another strong stat is the 86 mark he was given for injury.

Other attributes are rated as a 77 awareness, 76 strength, 74 agility and 66 coordination.

Omarr Norman-Lott (DT) – Kansas City Chiefs

Norman-Lott, a second-round pick by the Chiefs, clocks in as a 71 overall in the game.

His highest-rated area is his strength. Norman-Lott is given an 85 in this category. Right behind his strength is his injury rating at an 83.

Other attributes are rated as a 71 agility, 71 awareness, 67 speed and 61 coordination.

Dont’e Thornton Jr. (WR) – Las Vegas Raiders

As the first offensive player picked out of Tennessee this year, Thornton owns a 68 overall. The receiver was picked early in the fourth round of the draft by the Raiders.

Thornton’s strongest stat is unsurprisingly his speed. That sits all the way up at a 96 rating. Additional strong areas are his 84 injury and 81 agility.

Other attributes are a 77 agility, 58 awareness and 55 strength.

Dylan Sampson (HB) – Cleveland Browns

The fourth player out of UT to be picked was Dylan Sampson, who owns a 74 overall. The running back was picked in the fourth round by the Browns.

Sampson’s best areas are his speed and injury, both rated at a 92. His agility at 88 and coordination at 86 are also strong ratings.

Other attributes are a 65 strength and 63 awareness.
