Tennessee baseball had little success the two times they faced LSU ace Paul Skenes during the 2023 college baseball season.
But former Vol Jordan Beck got the best of Skenes Saturday afternoon, taking the Pirates ace deep to right field for a three-run homer. Skenes grooved a fastball over the middle of the plate and Beck made him pay, taking it to opposite field to cut Pittsburgh’s lead to 4-3.
