With the summer session of practices in the books, Tennessee basketball has a better view of what its team will look like in the upcoming 2025-26 season. To speak about what the roster holds, Vols freshmen Nate Ament and Clarence Massamba and associate head coach Justin Gainey met with the media to give their thoughts.

For Ament, he is coming off the summer slate as a participant in the practices. He was a five-star recruit and the No. 4 recruit in the nation, according to Rivals, and is expected to play a significant role this year. Massamba comes in from France, but did spend some time playing high school ball in Florida. He just arrived on campus this past Saturday and is getting adjusted to Knoxville.

Gainey is Rick Barnes’ right-hand man and has been on the staff since 2021. He was promoted to associate head coach in 2022 and has been a key piece of back-to-back Elite Eight runs from the Vols.
