Tennessee Assistant Coaches and Players Preview Vols’ Opener Against Syracuse

Tennessee Football had two assistant coaches and three players speak with the media on Tuesday morning in Knoxville as the Vols continue game prep for the 2025 season opener against Syracuse on Saturday afternoon in Atlanta, GA.

Tennessee’s two coaches included defensive coordinator Tim Banks and running backs coach De’Rail Sims, while the trio of players involved defensive lineman Jaxson Moi, offensive lineman Lance Heard, and wide receiver Mike Matthews.

No. 24 Tennessee will match up against Syracuse at Noon ET on Saturday, Aug. 30, in Atlanta’s Mercedes-Benz Stadium. Stay tuned to Rocky Top Insider for live, in-game coverage of the season-opening game this weekend.
