Five-star power forward Christian Collins has scheduled an official visit with Tennessee basketball, 247sports Dushawn London first reported and multiple sources confirmed to RTI Wednesday. Collins will visit Tennessee Oct. 25-27 as part of a fall run of official visits.

Collins is a five-star recruit and the No. 6 player in the entire 2026 cycle according to the 247sports composite rankings. The 6-foot-8, 200-pound prospect also ranks as the No. 1 power forward in the country. The blue-chip recruit is a Los Angeles native who attends St. John Bosco High School in Bellflower. Collins helped lead the Braves to a 26-7 record in his junior season.

The highly touted recruit is coming to Knoxville the same weekend that the Tennessee basketball team plays a sold-out exhibition game against Duke. Collins is part of an action packed recruiting weekend, joining five-star point guard Deron Rippey, four-star wing Bryson Howard and four-star shooting guard Jasiah Jervis. Four-star power forward Cody Peck also currently plans on visiting Tennessee that weekend but the situation is more fluid.

Tennessee is coming off a recruiting class where they landed five-star wing Nate Ament— the No. 4 player in the country and the highest-ranked signee in the modern era of Vol hoops. Collins would rank right behind Ament for the top spot.

Collins had his first official visit last weekend at USC. He’s scheduled to visit Oregon this coming weekend and will officially visit Kentucky the final weekend of October. Those are the only four visits he has scheduled at the moment but he boasts a multitude of high-level offers and could schedule more visits.

Tennessee does not hold a commitment in the 2026 recruiting cycle but its board is beginning to come into place. Four-star point guard Miles Sadler is officially visiting Tennessee this weekend. Other prospects with visits scheduled to Tennessee this fall include four-star wing Bo Ogden and four-star wing Manny Green.

Vol hoops has four seniors on its 2025-26 roster but after signing a large prep class a season ago, the Vols likely won’t sign an abundance of prep prospects this cycle.
