After a neutral site win to open the season, Tennessee football returns to the friendly confines of Neyland Stadium Saturday for its 2025 home opener. The Vols will have the same look they did a week ago in Atlanta, donning their traditional home uniforms.
Tennessee is wearing white helmets, orange jerseys, white pants and white accessories as they welcome instate FCS foe ETSU to Neyland Stadium. ETSU has yet to announce what uniforms they are wearing in the week two matchup.
The Vols are 1-0 in their classic home uniforms this season after posting a 4-0 record in their traditional home uniforms a season ago. Tennessee has lost just one game in its orange-on-white look in the last three-plus seasons, falling to Georgia at Neyland Stadium during the 2023 season.

Tennessee is off to a 1-0 start in the 2025 season, coasting past Syracuse 45-26 in the Aflac Kickoff Game. The Vols jumped out to a 17-0 lead in the first quarter against the Orange and the game never got closer than 10 points after that point.
Quarterback Joey Aguilar turned in a solid Tennessee debut, completing 16-of-28 passes for 247 yards and three touchdowns. Aguilar also added 34 rushing yards. The Vols’ defense was opportunistic, recording five sacks an interception and a first quarter scoop-and-score.
ETSU is off to a strong start to the season themselves. The Bucs began the Will Healy era with a 45-17 win over Murray State a week ago in Johnson City. Healy and ETSU are using a unique two-quarterback system this season, playing both Iowa transfer Cade McNamara and North Carolina transfer Jacolby Briswell.
Kickoff between Tennessee and ETSU is at 3:30 p.m. ET Saturday afternoon at Neyland Stadium. Matt Schumacker, Dustin Fox and Stephanie Otey are on the call as the SEC Network+ and ESPN+ stream the matchup.
