ESPN’s fan-favorite College GameDay show is headed back to Knoxville. The show will take place from the University of Tennessee’s campus next Saturday before the Vols host Georgia. Kickoff for the matchup is set for 3:30 p.m. ET and will air on ABC. GameDay will air from Ayers Hall beginning at 9 a.m. ET.
This is the first time Tennessee football will host GameDay since 2022. Most recently, it was in town for the Vols’ historic 52-49 win over Alabama, led by Hendon Hooker and Jalin Hyatt. That 2022 season also saw the show make its way to campus for the Vols’ 38-33 win over Florida at home.
In 2024, Tennessee was a featured team three times on the show, but was on the road in each game. First, it saw the Vols go on the road to defeat Oklahoma, 25-14. Later in the year, it was in Athens when Tennessee fell to Georgia, 31-17. Finally, it was in Columbus to see UT drop its College Football Playoff bout with Ohio State, 42-17.

More From RTI: Everything Tennessee HC Josh Heupel Said Following Win Over ETSU
Tennessee is off to a strong start to the 2025 season, reaching a 2-0 record. In the season opener, the Vols went to Atlanta and earned a 45-26 win over Syracuse. This Saturday, Tennessee played ETSU in its home opener and ran away with a blowout, 72-17, win.
“Conference play starts on next Saturday,” Vols head coach Josh Heupel said after the game. “We’re going to try to be the best football team on the field that Saturday. We need to be at our best. I certainly know who they are as a program and what they are as a football team. And we look at us being at our best and we’re going to need our fans to be at their best too next Saturday.”
Georgia is also off to a 2-0 start. The Bulldogs ran away with a 45-7 win over Marshall to start the year, before beating Austin Peay 28-6 on Saturday. It will be the first SEC road start for UGA quarterback Gunner Stockton.
Tennessee has not won a game against Georgia since Josh Dobbs found Jauan Jennings on a hail mary in Athens in 2016. The most recent win in Neyland Stadium was in 2015. Overall, UGA leads the set of games 29-23-1.
