Tennessee football quarterback Joey Aguilar put together possibly his best game yet as the Vols’ signal caller. In the 56-34 win over Kentucky, he produced 396 passing yards, three touchdowns and no interceptions on 20-of-26 passing. As a result, his odds to win the Heisman Trophy have been refreshed.

According to FanDuel, Aguilar has +20000 to win the award. Despite the strong showing, that’s twice as long as his previous mark of +10000 heading into the game.

His odds are tied for 16th-best in the country. He’s knotted up with Louisville’s Miller Moss, Michigan’s Justice Haynes, Washington’s Demond Williams Jr. and BYU’s Bear Bachmeier. The top mark in the country is slotted to Indiana quarterback Fernando Mendoza at +300. Alabama’s quarterback Ty Simpson is just behind him at +340 with Ohio State quarterback Julian Sayin at +380.

Other names in the SEC include Texas A&M’s Marcell Reed at +500, Vanderbilt’s Diego Pavia at +850, Georgia’s Gunner Stockton at +1200 and Ole Miss’ Trinidad Chambliss at +3500.

If Aguilar does win the award, he’d be the first Vol to ever take home the trophy. Peyton Manning was a finalist in his last year in Knoxville, but was snubbed in the decision, losing to Michigan defensive back Charles Woodson. Current wide receiver Chris Brazzell has also emerged as a dark-horse option this year, but has no odds listed. He only caught one pass for five yards against Arkansas, though.

On the season, Aguilar is responsible for 2,344 passing yards, 18 touchdowns and six interceptions through eight games. He’s run for a total of 91 yards for two touchdowns, as well.

Next, Tennessee returns home to host Oklahoma in a top-20 clash. Kickoff is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. ET in Knoxville and will air on ABC.
