Four-star shooting guard and Tennessee target Jasiah Jervis is announcing his college commitment 1 p.m. ET on Wednesday. Jervis is deciding between a top group that includes Illinois, Michigan State, NC State and Pittsburgh.
Jervis ranks as a four-star recruit and the No. 35 player in the country according to the 247sports composite rankings. The Bronx native also ranks as the No. 2 shooting guard in the country and the No. 2 player in the state of New York in the 2026 recruiting cycle.
The 6-foot-4, 190-pound guard officially visited Tennessee just over a week ago when the Vols hosted Duke in a preseason exhibition game. Tennessee got the final official visit for Jervis, who also visited Michigan State, NC State and Pittsburgh.
“Family oriented program,” Jervis told RTI in what he’s looking for in a school. “A program that is all about winning and help kids develop to that next level but also as a young man. Just life lessons. … They (Tennessee) do all of that. They’re family oriented. Fan love is crazy out here. They want to help you get better and they know the goals of the kids and want to help them succeed.”
The Vols have had success recruiting New York City in program history and during the Rick Barnes tenure. Jervis told RTI following his visit that former Tennessee point guard Zakai Zeigler reached out to Jervis in recent weeks and has been helping recruit him for the Vols.
Tennessee basketball has three total commits in the 2026 recruiting class, landing all three in the last three weeks. Rick Barnes and his staff have landed commits from four-star wing Ralph Scott, four-star wing Manny Green and three-star point guard Marquis Clark.
The Vols are still pursuing a number of targets in the 2026 cycle including five-star point guards Miles Sadler and Deron Rippey Jr. Sadler officially visited Tennessee last month while Rippey and Collins are visiting with Jervis.
Tennessee’s three-commit recruiting class currently ranks No. 12 nationally and No. 4 in the SEC according to the 247sports team rankings.
