After its second open date of the season, Tennessee football is back in action this week when the Vols host New Mexico State at Neyland Stadium. Dave Neal, Fozzy Whittaker and Morgan Uber are on the call for the SEC Network. Kickoff is at 4:15 p.m. ET.
It’s the third Tennessee game that the Neal, Whittaker and Uber crew are announcing this season. They previously announced the Vols’ win at Mississippi State and their home win against Arkansas two weeks later.
Tennessee’s homecoming game is its fifth in the afternoon time slot this season. The Vols played ETSU, Georgia, Mississippi State and Arkansas in that time frame. They also played two games in the early time slot against Syracuse and UAB. Tennessee has played three night games this season against Alabama, Kentucky and Oklahoma.
The Vols are one of just two SEC teams playing out of conference games in week 12 of the college football season. Top SEC games the second week of November include Oklahoma-Alabama, Texas-Georgia and Texas A&M-South Carolina.
