The Missouri sports betting market is anticipated to launch on Dec. 1 with a maximum of 14 possible online sportsbooks and 19 retail sportsbooks.
The soon-to-launch market will feature top online betting sites, such as FanDuel and DraftKings, in addition to many others. That includes those focused on “sharp” bettors and others that are designed to create the most rewarding experience for their customers.

When will sports betting be legal in Missouri?
Voters approved legal sports betting in Missouri by passing Amendment 2 at the November 2024 ballot. The law took effect in Dec. of that year, and the Missouri Gaming Commission (MGC) set a launch date for Dec. 1, 2025.
The MGC still anticipates meeting that deadline and launching its market at the start of the month, giving customers the opportunity to partake in NFL betting, NBA betting, and much more with a near-full availability of America’s most popular sports.
Missouri sports gambling: Available Missouri sportsbooks
Regulators in the Show-Met State have already approved a couple of sportsbooks for operation.
DraftKings, FanDuel and Circa Sports were the first to apply for two available untethered operator’s licenses, meaning the sportsbooks would not have to obtain a retail partner for market access.
Despite being a heavy underdog, Circa – which only operates in five states – was approved for a license alongside DraftKings. Circa primarily focuses on serious bettors by offering a lower vig (essentially the edge that the house maintains) and higher betting limits for customers.
The MGC’s decision meant that FanDuel had to apply for a tethered license. Its application is still being reviewed, along with several others.
The application window for tethered Missouri sports betting operators opened May 15, 2025, and closed on Sept. 12. All applications will be reviewed, and approved operators will be announced before the December launch date.

Missouri sports betting bonuses and promos
Every sportsbook that will launch in Missouri will have a sign-up bonus for first-time customers. These sportsbook promos can be claimed once per person per sportsbook, meaning that redeeming welcome bonuses at multiple online betting sites could result in prizes with a value worth thousands of dollars.
Bonuses can be as simple as receiving bonus bets simply for creating an account and placing a first wager, or they can be rewards such as deposit matches or no-sweat bets.
All bonuses usually come with a fixed or maximum valuation, the terms of which should be prominently displayed by the sportsbook. Our review of Missouri betting apps and their bonuses will contain additional information for every MO sports betting app.
Missouri sports betting updates
Several newsworthy developments related to Missouri gambling occurred during October.
Circa Sportsbook announced that it will launch a revamped app with a universal wallet on Dec. 1. Underdog Sports also agreed to a mullti-year marketing partnership with the St. Louis Blues, building on an existing relationship less than one month after the operator partnered with MLB’s Kansas City Royals.
While Underdog is teaming up with local sports franchises, the Missouri regulator said that its sports betting market will launch without in-stadium sportsbooks at any of the six available locations due to lower traffic at physical sportsbooks.
Anyone interested in sports betting in Missouri can create accounts at approved sportsbooks, although they cannot submit their first wagers until 12:01 a.m. on Dec. 1.
Can I bet on sports in Missouri?
Sports betting in Missouri is restricted to customers who are at least 21 years old. Bettors can create their accounts online and do not have to be Missouri natives or residents to use Missouri sports betting apps following the Dec. 1 launch. Only users inside state lines can use Missouri sportsbooks.
All forms of legal online and retail sports betting will be regulated by the MGC. Sportsbooks will be required to pay 10 percent of their gross gaming revenue, which would create an estimated $29 million in annual contributions following deductions, according to state officials.
