Tennessee football is one of the remaining dozen schools in the mix for four-star wide receiver Julian Caldwell, according to Hayes Fawcett. The Vols are in consideration alongside Oregon, Texas, Texas Tech, SMU, USC, Texas A&M, Oklahoma, Notre Dame, Washington, Arizona State and Miami.
Caldwell is considered the No. 51 recruit in the country for the 2027 class, according to Rivals. He is the No. 9 wide receiver and No. 9 player out of Texas. Currently, he plays for Argyle in Argyle, Texas.
247 is a little lower on the prospect, but still holds him in high regard. He sits at No. 105 and is the No. 15 receiver on that platform.
Along with starring on the football field, Caldwell is also a track and field star. According to 247, he posted 100-meter reps of 10.92, 10.96, 10.98 and 10.99 as a sophomore. He stands at 6-feet tall and weighs in at 185 pounds.

247 does not currently list any visits that Caldwell has taken to Knoxville. He picked up his offer from Tennessee back in February, though, and has stayed in enough communication to stay in the mix.
This year, Caldwell has publicly taken visits to Texas A&M, Texas, Oregon, SMU and Texas Tech. He has not posted any game day visits this season, as well.
Tennessee is in a good spot to land multiple 2027 receivers, but is yet to officiall bring one in the boat. However, in the 2026 class, Kelsey Pope and company have put together an incredible class. This includes five-star Tristen Keys, four-star Tyreek King and four-star athlete Salesi Moa, who may play both sides of the ball in his career.
