It’s Senior Day. It’s the Neyland Stadium finale. It’s the regular-season finale. It’s an in-state rivalry.
It’s Orange-and-White threads. What else would you expect?
As announced by Tennessee on social media Wednesday evening, the Volunteers will be rocking the traditional classic home uniform combination for Saturday. The look includes white helmets, orange jerseys, white pants, white cleats, and white accessories.
It’s no surprise to see Tennessee close out the season with the classic home threads in the rivalry game against Vanderbilt. It’s the look that fans will want to see most in the biggest game of the Tennessee-Vanderbilt rivalry in series history.

More From RTI: Tennessee Bowl Projections: Will The Vols Be Bound For Florida This Postseason?
It’s the fifth time that Tennessee has worn the orange-and-white threads this season, and the first time since the Arkansas game all the way back in Week 7 of the season. Tennessee’s last two home games have featured alternate uniforms, with Dark Mode against Oklahoma and Smokey Grey against New Mexico State, but now it’s time to return to a timeless look for the in-state rivalry game.
Here’s a look at what combinations the Vols have used this season:
- Week 1 (vs Syracuse in Atlanta): Orange-and-White
- Week 2 (vs ETSU in Knoxville): Orange-and-White
- Week 3 (vs Georgia in Knoxville): Orange-and-White
- Week 4 (vs UAB in Knoxville): All-Orange
- Week 5 (at Mississippi State in Starkville): All-Orange
- Week 6 (BYE)
- Week 7 (vs Arkansas in Knoxville): Orange-and-White
- Week 8 (at Alabama in Tuscaloosa): All-White
- Week 9 (at Kentucky in Lexington): All-White
- Week 10 (vs Oklahoma): Dark-Mode
- Week 11 (BYE)
- Week 12 (vs New Mexico State): Smokey Grey
- Week 13 (at Florida): All-White
- Week 14 (vs Vanderbilt): Orange-and-White
Tennessee used five uniform combinations throughout the regular season this year: Orange-and-White (x5), All-White (x3), All-Orange (x2), Dark Mode (x1), and Smokey Grey (x1). Notably, Tennessee didn’t use the white-on-orange road combination this year, but things may have been thrown off with the all-orange home look on the road at Mississippi State in Week 5. We’ll see if that combination makes a return during the 2026 season.
Tennessee is 8-3 on the year with the regular-season finale against Vanderbilt waiting on the horizon. It’s a massive game in terms of implications for both sides, and is certainly considered the biggest game in the history of the series. The Vols are looking for their ninth win of the season before the bowl slate, while the Commodores are looking for a resume-boosting win for a shot at the playoffs.
Plus, of course, there’s a lot of Volunteer State pride on the line.
No. 19 Tennessee will host No. 14 Vanderbilt at 3:30 p.m. ET on Saturday afternoon in Neyland Stadium. Stay tuned to Rocky Top Insider for more Tennessee Football news and coverage leading into the game this weekend.
