Lady Vols basketball went on the road to face UCLA in Los Angeles, but came up well short. Tennessee lost 99-77, despite a strong run to begin the fourth quarter that ended up being far too little.
The 99 points scored were the most Kim Caldwell’s teams have allowed since she took over the Lady Vols program to begin last season. It also marks the second loss for her squad this season, with the first coming in a neutral-site clash with NC State in Greensboro.
After the game, Caldwell met with the media to give her thoughts on what transpired. She was also joined by Janiah Barker at the podium.
Barker finished with 25 points in the game, her return to UCLA. She played for the Bruins last season before transferring to Caldwell’s program.
