The 2025 college football regular season is in the rearview and teams across the country are quickly turning the page and focusing on the recruiting trail. The NCAA changed the calendar a bit this year by moving signing day to the first Wednesday in December and not officially opening the transfer portal until January.

Those changes mean that the early signing period begins this Wednesday with Tennessee football and programs across the country looking to put the final touches on its 2026 recruiting class.

Ahead of signing day, this is Tennessee’s best recruiting class under head coach Josh Heupel. The Vols boast commitments from four different players that rank as five-stars on at least one recruiting class. And despite it not being a super large class, Tennessee’s group ranks in the top 10 nationally.

The Vols’ recruiting class currently contains 24 commitments including from one quarterback, two receivers, three offensive linemen, one tight end, seven defensive linemen, two linebackers, six secondary players and two athletes who could wind up playing a couple different positions.

While there’s a large quantity of numbers on the trenches, the star power of the class is at the skill positions where five-star quarterback Faizon Brandon and five-star receiver Tristin Keys are each expected to sign this week. Brandon was one of the first commits in the Vols’ 2026 class while Keys flipped from LSU to Tennessee back in August.

Check out where Tennessee’s class ranks both nationally and in the SEC ahead of the early signing period.
