Lady Vols basketball got its SEC schedule underway with a contest against Florida in Knoxville. Tennessee took an early lead, forfeited it, but showed the resolve to escape with a 76-65 victory.
After the game, Lady Vols head coach Kim Caldwell and players Talaysia Cooper and Alyssa Latham met with the media. They were asked about the swings of the game, practices leading in, lineup changes and more.
Cooper finished with 17 points on 7-for-20 shooting from the field. She also contributed seven rebounds, one assist and one steal. Latham posted nine points on 3-for-6 shooting from the field to go with eight rebounds and two steals.
