Tennessee football is looking to parlay an impressive 2026 recruiting class with another strong group in 2027. As that cycle gets more and more under the spotlight, the Vols have continued to make moves for some of the top players.
This includes plenty of prospects narrowing their focus on just a handful of schools. In the case of four-star wide receiver Alvin Mosley, he’ll just be looking at Tennessee, Ole Miss, SMU, Texas, TCU and Houston, according to Rivals.
Out of Rosharon, Texas, and playing for Fort Bend Crawford, Mosley included four Texas-based schools in his top six. The Vols join just Ole Miss as out-of-state programs still in the mix.
Mosley is ranked as the No. 116 recruit in the country, according to 247. The site also lists him as the No. 18 wide receiver and No. 17 player from Texas in the cycle.

More From RTI: Four-Star Defensive Lineman Schedules Spring Visit With Tennessee Football
Tennessee quickly put itself in the favor of Mosely, as well. The Vols only offered him on Feb. 19, and his top schools list was revealed on Feb. 25. The offer was extended by Vols wide receivers coach and passing game coordinator Kelsey Pope.
At his high school, Mosely also plays defensive back, but he’s being looked at as a receiver at the next level. Standing at 6-foot-2 entering his senior year, he’s also a basketball player, considering himself a combo-guard.
So far, Tennessee has landed four commitments in the 2027 class. The Vols boast four-star offensive lineman Princeton Uwaifo as the headliner, with four-star Kadin Fife also in the boat. However, Fife is apparently back in the evaluation process after defensive staff changes.
Three-star quarterback Derrick Baker and legacy linebacker JP Peace are also committed. More commitments are expected to roll in throughout the offseason as the class heats up, though.
