Despite a rough end to the season, Lady Vols basketball is in the NCAA Tournament field and knows its first opponent. Tennessee will open things up as a 10-seed against 7-seed NC State on Friday. Tip-off is scheduled for 8 p.m. ET and will air on ESPN.
The game will be played in Ann Arbor, Michigan, on Michigan’s home floor. The Wolverines are hosting the first two rounds as the 2-seed in the region. They open against 15-seed Holy Cross just before UT’s game on Friday.
Ahead of the trip north, Lady Vols head coach Kim Caldwell met with the media. She was asked about her reaction to the pull, the team’s injury status, the rematch with NC State and more.
