Tennessee football brings in one of the top-ranked recruiting classes in the country this season. Headlining the group is a number of five-star prospects, including wide receiver TK Keys.
However, after missing time in his senior year due to a lower-body injury, Keys isn’t at full go to start spring camp. He said he’s in ‘protocal’ as he adjusts to the college level in his first sessions of practice.
“I wouldn’t say it set me back, but I’m still in protocal, for sure,” Keys said about the injury. “I’m not full speed right now. I’m really just getting a lot of rehabbing, getting my leg back to feeling like my other leg.”

Part of the adjustment to college has been getting his weight up. The 6-foot-2 wide receiver came in at 183, but has gotten all the way up to 195 pounds already.
Overall, from the weight room to nutrition to the first three practices, Keys says it’s gone well.
“It’s been great,” Keys said. “Just getting along with it and getting adjusted to the schedule and how fast the pace is. But, yeah, it’s gone pretty well.”
There’s playing time for the taking, as well. Mike Matthews, an outside receiver, and Braylon Staley, a slot receiver, return and are expected to reprise their starting roles. However, after a breakout year, Chris Brazzell opted to go to the draft.
That opening is likely up to a trio of players to take. It could go to Keys, or second-year players Radarious Jackson and Travis Smith Jr.
