Lady Vols basketball has landed another piece through the transfer portal with SEC experience. Rylie Theuerkauf, a guard out of Georgia, has picked Tennessee after a recent visit to Knoxville, she announced on Instagram.
Theuerkauf just rounded out her junior season with the Bulldogs. She will have one year of eligibility remaining. Out of Tenafly, New Jersey, she had played two seasons at Wake Forest before transferring to UGA this past season.
However, with Georgia head coach Katie Abrahamson-Henderson stepping down, Theuerkauf re-entered the portal. Now, she’s following Bulldogs assistant coach Isoken Uzamere to Tennessee after Kim Caldwell hired Uzamere to fill Roman Tubner’s position on the staff.
She’ll now also join former UGA teammate Zhen Craft at Tennessee, as well, who committed to the Lady Vols on Monday. The pair took a visit to Knoxville over the weekend.
This past year, Theuerkauf, standing at a listed 5-foot-9, played in 32 games and started in 31. She averaged 11.9 points per game on 42.4% shooting from the field and a red-hot 40.6% on threes. She also contributed 2.0 rebounds and 1.1 assists per game.

In Georgia’s overtime loss to Tennessee in Athens, Theuerkauf played 41 minutes. She posted 15 points on 4-for-9 shooting from the field and 3-for-6 from range. She also had a rebound and an assist.
As a sophomore at Wake Forest, Theuerkauf played in 29 games and started 23. She averaged 12 points per game on 43% shooting from the field and 30.1% on threes. As a freshman with the Demon Deacons, she averaged 3.8 points in 30 appearances and three starts.
This is now the fifth addition through the portal this cycle. Tennessee has already added Avery Mills from Liberty, Naomi White from Northern Arizona, Harper Peterson from Stanford and Craft from Georgia.
The Lady Vols are going to have to continue to hammer the transfer portal, though. UT lost all eight potential returners, and five-star signee Oliviyah Edwards was released from her signing, per her request. Just one freshman remains signed, four-star guard Gabby Minus.
