After a strong start to the transfer portal cycle, Tennessee basketball is positioning itself to have a chance to land one of the top-ranked players in the portal. The Vols have received a prediction to land highly-touted Wake Forest guard Juke Harris by On3 Michigan reporter Josh Henschke.
However, it’s worth noting that Henschke isn’t fully convinced that Harris is headed to Knoxville. He would like to make a ‘cloudy’ pick for the Vols, instead. To him, he just doesn’t feel like Michigan will win the race, and UT would then be the favorite.
Henschke wouldn’t be shocked if things changed, either. With how sought-after Harris has been in the cycle, things can change quickly.

Harris is coming off a sophomore season in which he averaged 21.4 points on 44.4% shooting from the field and 33.3% shooting from three-point range. The Salisbury, North Carolina, native made 87 three-pointers during that 2025-26 season. The 6-foot-7, 200-pound guard also added 6.5 rebounds, 1.9 assists and 1.3 steals per game. He ranked in the top 400 nationally with a 17.6% defensive rebound rate and a 10% turnover rate.
Harris ranks as the No. 4 player in the entire transfer portal by On3. He trails just Flory Bidunga (Louisville), Milan Momcilovic (Iowa State) and Massamba Diop (Arizona State).
Tennessee nearly landed Harris out of high school, as well, but the then-four-star recruit chose the Demon Deacons over the Vols and others.
So far, Tennessee has landed three commits through the portal in the rebuild of its roster. This features Belmont guard Tyler Lundblade, Cal guard Dai Dai Ames and Loyola (Chicago) forward Miles Rubin.
