Lady Vols basketball now has 10 players rostered for next season. After losing every player from last year’s team to the transfer portal, Tennessee has landed eight transfer portal commitments, held on to one high school signee and signed a new incoming recruit in the 2026 class.
Most recently, it’s been a pair of big splashes for Kim Caldwell as she prepares for her third season as the Lady Vols’ head coach. First, she addressed a position of need and reeled in Texas A&M starting forward Fatmata Janneh. While Janneh isn’t a true center, she’s proven to be one of the best rebounders in the league and brings needed size.
Then, Tennessee earned the commitment of Maryland guard and All-Big Ten performer Kaylene Smikle. Considered one of the top players in the portal, she brings instant firepower to the Lady Vols’ offense.
