
Tennessee head coach Rick Barnes and rising sophomore forward DeWayne Brown met with the media on Thursday afternoon in Knoxville to update the media on the latest happenings during the offseason.
Brown led things off and spoke for a few minutes, talking about the roster changes with his former teammates’ departures and the new teammates he has gained through the transfer portal. Brown also spoke about his role with the team moving forward, where he wants to continue improving, and much more.
Barnes spoke to the media for over 15 minutes. He answered a plethora of questions during his interview, including why he chose Earl Grant as the Vols’ next assistant coach and why Grant was the right man for the job. Barnes also spoke about some of Tennessee’s incoming players and how he sees them working together, the upcoming Big Orange Caravan event, and much more.
