It’s been just under a month since Tennessee basketball’s 2026 season came to a close a game short of the Final Four with a loss to eventual national champion Michigan.
The Vols’ roster looks almost entirely different than it did at this time a month ago. Six different Tennessee players entered the transfer portal with five of the six landing in either the Big 12 or the SEC. Star freshman Nate Ament also declared for the NBA Draft as he turns his attention to professional basketball.
But Rick Barnes and his staff quickly got to work rebuilding the roster for next season. Tennessee has hosted six transfers and another prep prospect on a visit since the season ended. They landed commitments from all seven players.
Tennessee has added a number of highly touted transfers putting together a top five transfer class according to at least one ranking system.
After landing Kennesaw State transfer forward Braedan Lue on Friday, Tennessee now has three scholarships to work with as it builds its roster for next season.
