Before you know it, the recruiting world will be talking about class of 2030 quarterback prospect Marshall Manning. We already know the recruiting profile that Arch Manning had before choosing the University of Texas during the 2023 cycle, and it feels like Marshall Manning’s road to college football could be even bigger. He is the son of Tennessee legend and NFL Hall of Fame quarterback Peyton Manning.

Reese Phillips, a former Kentucky quarterback and quarterback developmental trainer based out of Chattanooga, TN, posted a new highlight clip of one of Manning’s recent workouts to social media. The video, which was reposted to X by the Bussin’ With The Boys account, has over 500K views in just nine hours.

The video comes just over a month after Rivals’ Shayne Pickering posted 7-on-7 highlight footage from Manning at the Music City Mayhem event in March.

We’re obviously still a ways away from Manning’s recruiting cycle being at the forefront of things. For context, the 2026 recruiting class wrapped up over the winter and the 2027 cycle is underway. But that’s not going to stop Manning’s name from jumping off the page – or, in this case, the screen – whenever he does show up in a highlight.

Last July, Stephen Hargis of the Chattanooga Times Free Press reported that Marshall Manning would be transferring to Baylor School. The school is located in Chattanooga, Tennessee, and is just about a two-hour drive and 100-mile trip to Neyland Stadium. Hargis also reported that he was enrolling as an eighth-grade day student.

Peyton Manning visited the high school football contest between Baylor and McCallie last October and sat alongside former Tennessee baseball head coach Tony Vitello during the game. That hangout took place just weeks before Vitello officially accepted the job as the San Francisco Giants’ manager.
