An in-state Tennessee football recruiting target is set to come off the board next week. According to a report from Rivals, four-star cornerback Miles Brown will announce his commitment on May 19.
Brown will be choosing between three SEC schools and an ACC program. He’s down to the Vols, Kentucky, Ole Miss and Louisville.
Ranked as a four-star on 247 Composite, Brown is considered the No. 430 player in the 2027 class. He is the No. 42 cornerback and No. 17 player in the state of Tennessee. The 5-foot-11 corner plays for Westview in Martin, Tennessee.

247 lists a quartet of official visits for Brown to each of his finalists. However, it’s currently unclear if he still plans to make all four visits after his commitment. If he does, he’ll be at Ole Miss on May 29, Tennessee on June 5, Louisville on June 12 and Kentucky on June 19.
Brown’s primary recruiter at Tennessee is Derek Jones. He joined the Vols’ staff this past winter to help Jim Knowles in his first year as UT’s defensive coordinator.
Currently, Tennessee holds seven commitments in the 2027 class. This features a trio of highly-touted four-stars. Headlining is in-state wide receiver, Kesean Bowman. He is a top-50 prospect and one of the top pass catchers in the class. In-state offensive tackle Princeton Uwaifo and defensive lineman Kadin Fife are also highly ranked.
Three-stars in the class are quarterback Derrick Baker, athlete Jaden Butler, in-state legacy linebacker JP Peace and defensive back Carter Jamison. The group currently ranks outside the top 25 on 247, but UT is in strong positions with multiple big-name recruits, which could catapult it back up the rankings.
