Tennessee basketball officially began its summer practices on Monday after Rick Barnes’ 12th Volunteer team arrived in Knoxville the week before.

The Vols were highly active building their roster over the last two months. Tennessee lost four players to graduation, one player to the NBA Draft and six players to the transfer portal— J.P. Estrella (Michigan), Cade Phillips (Texas A&M), Jaylen Carey (Missouri), Bishop Boswell (Maryland), Amari Evans (Texas) and Clarence Massamba (UC Davis).

However, Tennessee replaced its lost production with one of the nation’s top transfer classes. The Vols landed VCU guard Terrence Hill Jr, Cal guard Dai Dai Ames, Wake Forest guard Juke Harris, Belmont guard Tyler Lundblade, Notre Dame wing Jalen Haralson, Kennesaw State power forward Braedan Lue, VCU center Christian Fermin and Loyola (Chicago) center Miles Rubin.

Add in returning players— Troy Henderson, DeWayne Brown, Gavin Paull, Duncan Campbelll— and incoming freshman— Marquis Clark, Manny Green, Ralph Scott, Chris Washington Jr— and the Vols have a set 16-player roster for the 2026-27 season.
