When Lane Kiffin makes his second return to Neyland Stadium to play Tennessee football as an opposing coach, he’ll be with a new team. Kiffin took over the LSU program this offseason and has garnered high expectations for year one.

Now, we not only know the date the game will be played, but also the kickoff window. When the Tigers and Vols clash in Knoxville, it’ll be on Nov. 21, 2026, in the ‘flex’ window. That means the start time will be between 3:30-4:30 p.m. ET or 6-8 p.m. ET.

This has all the makings of a raucous environment in Neyland Stadium. With either an afternoon or night start, Vol fans will have plenty of time to get ready for the game and make an impact from the stands. The game is also the final home game of the season for UT.

Ahead of the matchup, DraftKings released betting odds for the game. Vegas anticipates it to be a toss-up, with LSU just a 1.5-point favorite on the road. There are currently no moneyline or total points over/under bets you can make.

This will be the 35th meeting between the teams. Tennessee currently owns a commanding 21-10-3 series lead.

This will also be the second time Kiffin has returned to coach a game in Knoxville as a head coach. In 2021, he led Ole Miss into Neyland Stadium to play Josh Heupel’s first Tennessee team. The result was multiple controversial rulings going the Rebels’ way, and Kiffin’s team barely sneaking out with a win. The game was also infamous for the crowd reaction of throwing trash on the field and causing a delay after what fans deemed a missed call by officials.
