As excitement begins to ramp up about the upcoming college football season, the Bussin’ With The Boys team tackled one of the most debated questions around the sport: Which stadium in the country has the loudest home fans?
Eight staff members from the show answered the question, including hosts Taylor Lewan and Will Compton, with half of the group choosing Tennessee’s Neyland Stadium. Virginia Tech, Penn State, Nebraska, and Auburn all got one vote each.
“The loudest college football stadium? I am a Big 10 homer; however, I’ve been in Neyland Stadium. I’ve seen that checker. Neyland Stadium, Tennessee, is the loudest college football stadium,” former Tennessee Titans offensive lineman Taylor Lewan said.
Here’s what the other pro-Tennessee responders said:
“I’m going to go with Neyland, but everyone’s going to say Neyland. My sleeper pick? Lane Stadium, Virginia Tech.”
“On record, I was there. Tennessee versus Georgia, 137 decibels. It’s not even close. Loudest stadium in America. (Neyland Stadium), when it gets rocking, is unbelievable.”
“Not even close. Neyland Stadium. It can be 102,000, it can be 2,000. It doesn’t matter. That place gets rocking every Saturday night. It’s always going to be the Vols.”

More From RTI: Three Reasons for Optimism for Tennessee Football in 2026
While Neyland Stadium has downsized a bit in the last few years to make room for extra stadium amenities, the volume coming out of the arena hasn’t changed in the slightest. It’s still a wall of noise for opposing teams to deal with, and Tennessee fans prove that they’re up for the challenge time and time again.
With the SEC’s new nine-game conference schedule this season, Tennessee will bring five SEC games to Neyland Stadium this fall. There are some big matchups in the chamber.
Tennessee begins its SEC slate with back-to-back home games against Arch Manning’s Texas Longhorns and Alex Golesh’s Auburn Tigers. The Third Saturday in October rivalry against Alabama also returns to Neyland Stadium this fall, as does Kentucky. The Vols’ final home game in Neyland this fall will be against Lane Kiffin’s LSU Tigers in his second head coaching return to Knoxville.
