
Tennessee Football released full pictures of its new Adidas orange home jerseys on Monday, revealing what the landmark look of the new brand era on Rocky Top will look like moving forward.
The tradition of Tennessee’s previous Nike jerseys carries through, but there are a few subtle changes that Adidas has made with its rendition. One of them, for instance, is the addition of a large Power T logo on the upper right of the pants, rather than a smaller logo that was used there in the past.
But the most obvious change is the font for the numbers, and this is where a cool detail was added in that may not be noticed at first glance.
According to Tennessee Athletics, the new number font on the football jerseys is a direct tie to UT’s Power T emblem: “Inspired by the class, block athletic numbers so familiar to the Volunteers’ rich football history, the bold numerals incorporate angles and curvature that complement the Power T.”

It’s easy to see in the photos that Tennessee released on Monday morning, and in the picture of VFL Peyton Manning from last week:
