You’re safe to order your new Nate Ament Milwaukee Bucks jersey. This week, Ament announced his official jersey number to begin his NBA career. He will be wearing No. 15.
This is a change for Ament. At Tennessee, he wore No. 10 during his fantastic freshman season. In high school and with Team USA, he also wore No. 10. For his AAU ball, he wore No. 7, and in middle school, he wore No. 33.
Ament won’t be able to wear No. 10 due to it being retired within the Bucks’ franchise. It is set aside to honor Bob Dandridge. In 618 career games with the Bucks, Dandridge averaged 18.6 points, 7.3 rebounds and 3.2 assists after being drafted in 1969.

Ament showed his upside during the course of last season, though he did have to battle through injury heading into the postseason. The 6-foot-10 wing finished with 16.7 points per game on 39.9% shooting from the field and 33.3% from range. He also contributed 6.3 rebounds and 2.3 assists per contest.
Ultimately, Ament was selected 13th overall in the 2026 NBA Draft by the Bucks. This was on the back part of the majority of his projections, but it secured him a pick inside the lottery. He was Milwaukee’s second pick of the draft, after it took Brayden Burries from Arizona 10th overall.
Currently, the Bucks are playing in the California Classic portion of the preseason. However, Ament is not on the roster due to his rights being tied in with the blockbuster Giannis Antetokounmpo trade to the Heat. Now that that has gone through, Ament will be eligible to be added to the actual Summer League roster.
