One of Tennessee football’s commitments in the 2027 class is staying true to his pledge. In a post on Instagram, three-star athlete Brandon ‘Slim’ Leavell announced that he is shutting down his recruitment.

Leavell committed to the Vols on May 18, 2026. He picked UT over Florida and Clemson. With teams still pursuing him, he’s now no longer entertaining any other options.

Leavell ranks as a three-star prospect who projects to play defensive back. On 247 Composite, he is the No. 519 recruit in the nation, No. 32 athlete and No. 22 player from the state of Tennessee. He is from Madison, Tennessee, where he plays for Goodpasture Christian School.
