WATCH: Tennessee Drops Video that Will Have You Itching for Football Season 50 Days From Kickoff

We’re just 50 days away from Tennessee football taking the field at Neyland Stadium to get the 2026 season underway. This will be the sixth year under the direction of Josh Heupel as he looks to steer the Vols back into the College Football Playoffs under a new and inexperienced quarterback.

As we count down to SEC Media Days next week, then fall camp and ultimately the season debut, Tennessee dropped a video that will get you fired up for football season. It’s not what you may be expecting either. Instead of highlights, it’s the sights that make football season in Knoxville so special, from the Vol Navy to the Vol Walk to the in-game atmosphere.

The season opener is scheduled for September 5, 2026, against Furman inside Neyland Stadium. The game is scheduled for 3:30 p.m. ET and will air on SECN+/ESPN+. Then, UT hits the road to play at Georgia Tech for its first true test of the year. That is set for September 12 at 7 p.m. ET on ESPN. To round out the non-conference slate, the Vols will host Kennesaw State on September 19 at 7:45 p.m. ET on SEC Network.

The SEC opener will be a big-time matchup against Texas at home. In front of a Checker Neyland crowd, kickoff on September 26 is set for noon ET on ABC or ESPN. Then, Auburn and former UT offensive coordinator Alex Golesh come to town on October 3 in the flex window.

The first SEC road game is at Arkansas on October 10 in the flex window. Then, Tennessee hosts Alabama for the Third Saturday in October on October 17 in the flex window.

The Vols will continue to alternate home and away games to finish the year, playing at South Carolina on October 24, at home against Kentucky on November 7, at Texas A&M on November 14, at home against LSU on November 21 and then at Vanderbilt on November 28.
