Get a $1,250 First Bet and More With Caesars Sportsbook Promo Code for Thursday Night Football

Last season there were a few duds on Thursday Night Football, but in Week 2 we have a second consecutive top matchup: a division rivalry game between the Chargers and Chiefs. Both teams come into this game at 1-0. Caesars Sportsbook has a generous bonus offer available here at Rocky Top Insider with Promo Code STARTFULL. With that promo, your first bet is risk-free up to $1,250.

Claim a $1,250 First Bet with Caesars Promo Code STARTFULL

Place a wager on the NFL (or any qualifying event), and if that bet loses, no worries: Caesars refunds your amount (up to $1,250) in the form of betting credits. That’s nearly as exciting as a no-look, underhanded pass from Patrick Mahomes.

Caesars lists the Chiefs among the favorites to win Super Bowl LVII (+800 after their victory on Sunday). The sportsbook sees the AFC West as competitive: Kansas City at +125 to win; and the Chargers at +190. These two teams meet again in Week 11 in sunny SoCal.

LA Chargers at KC Chiefs: A Quick Look

As much as any team in the league, the Chiefs impressed in Week 1, winning 44-21 on the road against the Arizona Cardinals. The Chiefs had 33 first downs, went 5-for-8 on third down conversions, and racked up nearly 500 yards of offense. The word JUGGERNAUT comes to mind. As a result, Kansas City is favored by four points against the Chargers.

That’s the challenge for the Chargers, who eked out a 24-19 victory on Sunday against the Raiders. Los Angeles nearly allowed a 14-point halftime lead to evaporate, but had enough of a pass rush (six sacks for 39 yards) to pressure the Raiders into a loss.

Los Angeles defeated the Chiefs in Kansas City last season, 30-24 in Week 3. In that game, the Chargers capitalized on two interceptions by Patrick Mahomes and two fumble recoveries. It’s unlikely Mahomes & Co. will be as sloppy as they were in that game last season at GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium.

Then again, the Bolts did get three turnovers on defense in Week 1, so that’s something to factor in when considering taking the points and the road dog here. The Chiefs did lose one fumble against the Cardinals. But otherwise, the KC offense was like a Big Red Machine rolling across the field at will last week.

  • Patrick Mahomes is 1-3 at home against the Chargers.
  • Kansas City is 9-3 in its last nine games against the spread.
  • The total points scored has been over in eight of KC’s last nine games dating back to the 2021-22 regular season.
  • The Chiefs have started the season 2-0 in four of the last five NFL seasons.
  • The total has gone over for the LA Chargers in six of their last seven regular-season games.
  • Los Angeles is 2-4 against the spread in its last six road games.

Thursday Night Football will be seen on NBC Sports, as well as on NFL+ and streaming on Amazon Prime Video. Kickoff is scheduled for 8:15 p.m. ET.
