Vic Wharton
Wharton helped spearhead Tennessee’s top-5 2014 recruiting class with his efforts off-the-field, yet in all the discussion about his recruiting ability, talk of Vic Wharton the football player got lost. Wharton has easily been the most consistent newcomer of camp and his performance has received praise from both Zach Azzanni and Butch Jones every practice. He’s already among the best Vol receivers at catching the ball with his hands away from his body and we haven’t seen him drop a pass yet. Wharton has been immensely coachable and quickly corrects any mistakes he’s made. He’s been rewarded for his performance with some situational first-team reps.
