Ranking Tennessee’s 2014 Performances

Justin Worley-1-29. Tennessee is unimpressive in win over UTC

Yes, Tennessee easily knocked off FCS opponent Chattanooga in a 45-10 blowout in Neyland Stadium. And it’s not that the Mocs were a bad FCS squad – they reached the playoffs, in fact. But Tennessee’s offensive line couldn’t regularly block UTC’s defensive line and the Mocs piled up five sacks, a sign of trouble for Tennessee in the weeks to come. The Vols’ banged-up backfield also couldn’t get a lot done, rushing for an underwhelming total of 123 yards. Justin Worley had a good day, accounting for five total touchdowns. Nobody watching that Homecoming matchup came away feeling great about Tennessee, however, with some flaws showing up and Ole Miss and Alabama looming next on the schedule.
